Matching Gifts Through Thrivent Area Employers— Make the most of your donations by filling out matching gift forms available in the Narthex after services. Thrivent offers a 50% match up to $600/member & many other employers offer matching funds for your cash donations and/or volunteer time to the school. Money raised in ’08 = over $17,000

Packer Game Workers—Levy Restaurant caters the food & drinks, we provide the support to their servers. Since the 2007/08 season, we have worked a variety of positions: Sky Box runners, Dessert Carts or Club Seat runner for all home games including pre-season. Trinity School receives $45 to $65/volunteer/game. EASY $$, just show up & work!!! Money raised in ‘08=approx. $8,000

Matt. 19:14 Scholarship Program—Financial assistance for families who value Christian education, but cannot afford it on their own. A wonderful outreach opportunity to our community! SCRIP already helps fund this, but any donations are welcome. Sponsor a child for just $100/month.
During the 2008/09 school year, 11 students are benefiting from this outreach program!

Good Search—An Internet Search Engine (like YAHOO) that gives the Charity of your choice $0.01 for every search. Money raised in ’08 = $109.75
P.T.L.S. — the Parents & Teachers of Lutheran Schools group oversees ongoing fundraising programs that provide funds for special projects like a new gym floor as well as ongoing maintenance for the playground, etc. Funds are raised through the following:
- Market Day—Monthly orders for delicious, mainly frozen, food products that help you make fast meals & yummy treats. Order forms available in the Narthex.
- We Care—Fill out an application at any Pick ‘n’ Save store to designate Trinity in Menasha as the recipient of a 1% rebate on all your purchases when you use your Pick ‘n’ Save Savings Card (cannot be used with SCRIP card)
- Box Tops for Education—General Mills cash rebate program for schools by turning in symbols from their box tops. Each one is worth 10c or more*
- Cash for Caps & Milk Moo-la—Turn in specially marked caps/labels from Kemps dairy products, Kwik Trip milk & other specially marked brands & we send them in for cash.*
*Collection receptacles are located in the school hallway near the library*

Aluminum Can Recycling—Drop off your aluminum cans to the Church or take them to BJ’s Recycling Center in Grand Chute & designate “Trinity Menasha”. Money goes to our Youth Group for yearly events. Money raised in ’08 = approx $650.00

Ladies Aid Events & “Cabinet Sales”— In addition to the annual Christmas Cookie Sale, the ladies sell dishcloths, cookbooks, knife sets, greeting cards & more. They have given “behind the scenes” financial assistance to many special projects in the congregation (ex: new hymnals, aid class trips, new water heater booster). Average money raised/yr = $1500-$2,500 Contact Jane Stier.
Thrivent Event Matching Funds—There are currently 2 programs that help boost our fundraising efforts: “Care & Congregation” which matches $1 for every $2 raised for events that directly benefit the congregation like Christmas Cookie Sales, Chili Fest and Brat Fry’s. “Care and Community” which matches $1 for every $3 raised for events that involve/benefit others outside the congregation (the school) such as the Silent Auction and Dinner Theatre. Money available to apply for = $1600/ea category

Chili Fest & Entertainment—All you can eat- 3 types of chili & fun entertainment like a Vintage Fashion Show or Auction. Volunteers needed to organize, cook/bake, serve & clean-up and help with the “entertainment”. Average money raised = $1000/event

Dinner Theatre—Fantastic night out! Excellent food & an excellent show by the Off Broad Street Players. Volunteers needed to act, create sets, set-up the dining room, help prepare, serve & clean-up the meal, and more. February thru April. Average money raised each year= approx $2,000

German Dinner—A well-established community event that takes place in October and serves a delicious, traditional German meal. Volunteers needed to prepare food, set-up the dining room, serve, wait tables & clean-up. Average amount raised per year = $2,000

Booth Sales with German Dinner—HUGE opportunity for extra income. Event takes place at the same time as the German Dinner. Booth space is available in the gym to Crafters/Vendors from within the congregation as well as a Silent Auction. Volunteers needed to organize & work at the event.

Advent/Lenten Suppers—A variety of groups within the congregation serve a meal before each mid-week service. Moneys raised have gone to a variety of different areas throughout the Church.
Money raised in ’07-’08 = approx $125/meal
Appleton’s Oktoberfest—Trinity’s Youth group has a booth and sells Cheese Curds & Bottled water. Moneys raised go to the general operating budget of our Youth Group for activities/trips. Volunteers needed to help with set-up as well as, manning the booth, and clean-up. End of September

Silent Auction Baskets —A fun way to get neat stuff while supporting Trinity School. Set-up to coincide with Trinity School’s Annual Spring Musical & Grandparent’s Day, also open to the congregation for 2 weekends before “bidding” ends. “Basket” items in the past have included Packer collectibles, Golf outings, Spa Days, Movie night, etc. Volunteers needed to solicit businesses for auction items, create baskets & promote event. Average money raised/yr = $3000

National Night Out—An evening designed to promote community safety and fun family-oriented activities/programs. Many community-sponsored programs represented including the Police & Fire Departments, YMCA, Boys & Girls Brigade and much more. Wonderful way to get involved in the community as well as lots of fun! Volunteers needed to help organize, promote, set-up/take down & help at various food or game booths. Event takes place in August Money raised in ’08 = approx. $2,000

VandeWalles Candy Bar Sales—Money raised in ’08=over $1,000
Brat Fry & Bake Sale—Spring/Summer
Barnes & Noble Book Fair—Yearly event held before Christmas to help raise money for the school. Money raised in ‘08= $863.00 to be given for new library materials.
